Coast Young Professionals to Host Political Forum
CYP invites the Gulf Coast community to attend a free political debate between candidates
for Lieutenant Governor and Southern District Transportation Commissioner.
BILOXI, Miss -- Coast Young Professionals (CYP) will host an issues oriented political forum featuring the candidates for Lieutenant Governor and Southern District Transportation Commissioner at the Biloxi Saenger Theatre on Wednesday, October 10th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The general public is invited to attend and there is no fee for entry.
Mississippi State Auditor Phil Bryant and State Representative Jamie Franks are seeking the office of Lieutenant Governor. Harrison County Supervisor Larry Benefield is challenging incumbent Southern District Transportation Commissioner Wayne Brown for the Southern District Transportation job.
The Coast Young Professionals organization is pleased to be able to offer an educational forum to the public,” said Ron Peresich, Jr., Co-Chairman CYP Policy and Government Committee. “These two races are vitally important to the recovery of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, ” said Clay Williams Co-Chairman CYP Policy and Government Committee.
CYP was established in May 2007 by the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce for business leaders under 40. The organization focuses on developing young leaders across the Mississippi Gulf Coast. CYP provides venues for networking for young professionals as well as extensive training in leadership and professional development.
