The Leadership & Learning Collaboration is responsible for arranging professional and leadership development for CYP. The “Insights” lunch, mentor program has been a huge success for Leadership & Learning. Once a month, up to 20 CYP members are given the opportunity to sit down and talk with one of the Coast’s leading professionals. The young professionals benefit by getting candid, group interaction with each professional.

Policy & Government:
Co-Chairs: Clay Williams & Ron Peresich
Policy and Government Collaboration forcuses on educating and engaging membership on a wide array of policy issues that affect the Mississippi Gulf Coast from an economic development and quality of life standpoint. The group explores issues ranging from land use development to tourism to transportation and other infrastructure related topics. The Policy & Government Collaboration keeps CYP members informed of pressing topics that have the potential to have a long lasting impact on the Coast.
Past Projects: Held a political forum for state candidates to answer CYP questions at a political debate
Current & Future Projects: The next few meetings will be focused on new upcoming attractions on the MS Gulf Coast.

Networking & Social:

The social/networking committee is an integral part of the organization. Our job, in essence, is to make all of the members stay in touch, and to collaborate to reach goals, both financially and socially. By hosting such events as the monthly socials, members of the organization get a chance to interact and make connections that will last a lifetime.
Our job, as we see it, is not only to make our members more successful, but also to introduce them to people like themselves. All people like to associate themselves with people who have similar goals and interests. Most of our goals include succeeding, both in business and in life, and therefore we have socials, which are more about having fun and meeting new people.
